The English House is a freshly humanistic English Language School based in Treviso. Our method puts an emphasis on fun with courses led by experienced and empathetic mother tongue teachers.
"I'm Rhys Davies, and I've taken my 20 years teaching experience and devised a selection of English language courses that make learning a pleasure and therefore allowing a more open attitude to expressing yourself in English.
Along with my good friend Dr. Lorenzo Martorana, we've taken a different approach to what a language school should be - putting our students first, and creating a comfy and welcoming space for all in our community in which to develop, learn and enjoy English language courses and events."
Our Courses
All our courses are taught by well–trained, passionate mother-tongue teachers, and last for 1 hour per lesson. The levels currently range from Elementary (A1) to Advanced (C1) and can be arranged in school or online depending on your preference.
Group 21
A cosy class of no more than 6 students that meet twice a week. Perfect for all types of adults, whether studying for academic, professional or personal reasons. Lots of talk time guaranteed!
Company 21
Need to boost your English skills in the workplace? Then look to us to head to your office, or we can go online if preferred! Groups of up to 6 or individual options available.
Indi 21
For those that require a bit more attention or have an urgent need to get up to speed quicker, this one-to-one opportunity will do both.

Looking for a course with a bit more freedom? – This option gives you control of your course as you simply tell us what you are looking for – help writing emails, reading a manual or simply conversation, we've got you covered.
Our Team
Rhys Davies
Director
Natively Welsh, Rhys has been teaching English since 2001, 10 years as a Director of Studies or equivalent. Taught in numerous countries and speaks Hungarian. Loves rugby and is a regular at Benetton games. Strength - student-centred approach and sense of humour.
Lorenzo Martorana
Director
A medical doctor by day, but loves a challenge and after around 7 years of friendship founded this school in partnership with Rhys. A proud father, Lorenzo spends his days on the go, he must run on batteries! Strength - multi-tasking and motivating others.
Liz Davies
Social Media Manager
Mother of two boys, ran her own agency in Budapest for 5 years. Deals with all thing's social media and is very creative in general. Also travelled extensively, and prefers warmer climates as loves beach days. Strength - honesty and online shopping.
